DIY Banana Deep Treatment Mask for Natural Hair

Hey beautiful people, sorry I have been MIA. I recently just moved back home from uni, the transition has been rough but i'm hanging in there. On the blog today, is this amazing banana  deep treatment mask. This mask will help repair damaged dried hair and soften it up, leaving it hydrated and moisturized. I didn't enjoy this hair treatment alone. I and my friend had a natural hair inspired sleepover, I had to hook her hair up with this goodness. Trust me if your hair is sounds crunchy when you touch it, try this and thank me later.

You will need:

2 Ripe Bananas

1 tbs of Apple cider vinegar

1 tbs of Olive oil

2 tbs of Honey

Blender/Mixing bowl

Instructions

- Put the banana in the blender, add olive oil, apple cider vinegar and honey into blender and blend ( cut banana into small chunks for easier blending). Make sure you blend until its smooth if not you will find banana bits in your hair, trust me you don't want that, learnt  the hard way.

- Pour mixture into a bowl and start applying it to your hair starting from the roots to your ends.

- For easy manageability and better access twist hair in big chunks while applying the mask.

- Put on a shower cap/plastic bag and leave on for 45 minutes - 1 hour. If you have a heating cap this process will be faster and more effective, just leave it on for 30 minutes.

- Finally rinse out hair with lukewarm water. I personally did this treatment after I shampooed my hair and it left my feeling very soft, some people prefer to shampoo after, the choice is yours.

What my hair looked like immediately after rinsing out the mask.

warning!!!

Please ensure you blend well to avoid banana residue in your hair. The first time I tried this I didn't blend well and it took me about three intensive rinses to remove the banana bits and even after I could still see them.
